Well, you'll notice I used the term "conscious," but I think you're on for the most part. However, I don't want to eat shit vegetables. The demand for cheap soy for soy meat has led to the destruction of waaaaay too much forested land. Like, tofu is almost as destructive as animal flesh, especially if its popularity continues to grow. And fuck, that's like the standard. Why can't I get tempeh everywhere I eat out but I can get shite tofu?
I dunno, sustainability seems intrinsic to the whole vegetarian/vegan lifestyle, and you fucking pay for it, don't try to tell me otherwise yo. As a generation we're going to have to sacrifice a lot of money to affect any serious change in people's consumption habits, and not just in what they feed themselves.
I'm broke and unemployed, have been for months. I know I couldn't sell me on paying more for my health (and everyone else's, and the planet's) right now.
