Being a vegetarian for like 5 or more years now and having dated another vegetarian for a good couple years I've had my fair share of vegan food, be it restaurant or otherwise. As with any other cuisine it's all in who and how it's prepared. It can be delicious and it can be disgusting. Generally though at least from my experience you'll be quite surprised and satiated.
Also eating vegetarian/vegan is generally cheaper than meat if you're considering staples and such. It's when you start delving into organics and meat analogues that shit gets pricey.

ya, i think i enjoyed it because like i said-- it was basically a cantonese restaurant with lots of hot pots and schezuan stuffs, so that definitely helped with the comfort level.
i'm all for trying new stuffs, so that's not the problem. i just don't dig it when they think that stuff can't be healthy and taste good and just throw things together based on the nutrients and shit and not taste whereas this was like spicy garlic eggplant that you'd get in any canto place, just vegan.
and the soy fritters... ohhhh the soy fritters... like i said, don't get the jitters, get dems efffing fritters.
