Yes! And I noticed something...
- Moses found Hayah (I AM) "out of the midst" (centered in) of a "bush burned (properly kindled) with fire"
- Buddha found dharma under the bodhi (enlightenment/awakening) tree
- Hindus (some) seek truth in Soma/Chandra, known as "one who illuminates the night" (Chandra in Sanskrit also means the moon). Chandra Shekara literally refers to the 'Person who wears the moon' which links to Lord Shiva in Hindu Mythology and his holy plant is Ganja (Soma).
- Jesus revealed himself as well. "This beginning of miracles (commencement of indication) did Jesus in Cana of Galilee ("incense of the heathen", that is, of the non-jews), and manifested forth his glory; and his disciples believed on him." -- John 2:11
- Jesus said "Take, eat: this is my body." (1Cor 11:24)
Care to take a wild guess what the Greek word translated "Body" is?"Body" in Greek is Soma, meaning the body (as a sound whole). From sozo, meaning to save, that is, deliver or protect (literally or figuratively)
We speak to the five kingdoms of the plants with soma the most excellent among them. The darbha-grass, hemp, and mighty barley: they shall deliver us from calamity! (Atharva Veda VII:14-15)
Regarding Buddha:
"The Indian Vedas praised cannabis as able to provide everything from good health to a channel to their gods. Buddhist tradition holds that Buddha ate one hemp seed a day during the six steps of asceticism that led to his enlightenment." -- Chapter 1 of H.E.M.P. book by Paul Benhaim
Question:
When you sit under and apple tree you eat apples. Orange tree... oranges. It is
very curious to me that Buddha would be eating hemp seeds while sitting under the Bodhi (Sacred Fig) Tree rather than figs, unless, perhaps, Hemp is the true "Sacred Fig" Bodhi "Tree". Does anyone have thoughts or insight on on this?
