However, I have also gained a more tolerant outlook on those who are claiming the sky is falling.
While I think their facts are non-existant and they are being driven by fear and "mob" mentality, I can appreciate the feeling of helplessness they must feel...for 8 years I felt like the world was conspiring against me, that America was destroying itself, and we had an imbicile for president.
While I think the opposite is true now, I can at least accept the fact that some people must feel now what I felt then.
That being said, this gives ZERO credibility to their unsubstantiated "zomg communizms!" claims or their lack of coherancy with the line they were towing less than a year ago (where were you when Bush was ballooning the budget, making bad foreign policy decisions, or using a republican congress to push through his agenda without listening to the other side?! NOW it's wrong to push through partisan bills, GOOD to lose the olympics, and BAD to increase the deficit?! Fuck you.), but it at least gives me the ability to have compassion for those who feel this way.
