I have experienced love at first sight, and it's been the most amazing 7 years of my life since. I wish you the best of luck and times. Finding a person to work it out with is key to lasting love, as that feeling of ecstasy fades and needs fueled.
Recognizing that joy/fear is good. Knowing you are in a comfortable and vulnerable place is good in love and in life over all.
