This has occurred for "guest" users as opposed to primary users (Admin) and has been "extremely rare". Regardless, MS would take a year to fix this. I bet there is a patch out in a week or two.

Also, anyone who does not back their systems up, no matter what the OS, are idiots. I always back up my photos, music, and movies as well as other stuff that I do not want to lose. Most people now-a-days have a couple of external hard drives where they back there info to just in case. I have two HDs I back up wirelessly with TimeMachine You don't even have to think about, it's automatic.
