Shouldn't every news station have the right to cover any story even if they are biased?

I mean msnbc is fucking biased but why should the government be able to pick and chose who can cover what? That is unless they couldn't allow bad press to be released about them? Am I right in thinking that?

Who cares if fox news sucks ass, it should have every right to cover any story that anyone else is. It is so a news channel, because it does cover the news JCP. Yeah the Orielly show is straight dog shit but it actually does cover the news if you ever tried to watch it...

I do watch O'Reilly on occasion. NEWS, however, is not opinion journalism. O'Reilly uses news to forward an agenda. That is not news journalism, that is (again) opinion journalism.
The thing that makes FOX unique is that their "news" programming with Shephard Smith, the other white dude, and the crazy blond ladies are ALSO opinion journalism. What they report is not based on importance or relevance, but political agenda. And how they report it is equally propogandic. This is NOT a symptom of other news networks to the obscene degree it is as FOX (terrorist fist jab was on their NEWS show, not their talking-head show).

What the white house is saying is that the channel is not a news channel. Just because it calls itself one does not mean it is one. They are claiming its equivalent to talkradio.
Talk Radio can be handled however the white house wants to. He can invite liberal talk radio hosts to sit in the oval office for tea and crumpets and never even look at conservative talk radio hosts.

Again, I happen to think excluding Fox News from the basic news interviews and press conferences is a little far (and I HATE Fox News for what it does to this country). But I see nothing different this time from the last eight years except the "sides" have changed. Now the conservatives aren't in charge and suddenly this is UNFAIR! Well, you should have thought of that before you did it to liberals. This same schizophrenic behavior can be seen across the board: conservative administration: PASS THE PATRIOT ACT! GIVE THE EXECUTIVE BRANCH AS MUCH POWER AS POSSIBLE!. Liberal Administration: Executive branch as too much power. He's turning this country socialist! He must be stopped! The people must be heard! Conservative administration: Filibusters are wrong! Liberals are destroying the congressional process on a technicality! Liberal administration: Filibusters are necessary! Liberals are destroying congress and wemust USE a technicality to stop them!
And now: Conservative administration: do you blame the administration for not talking to liberal biased channels? They don't give him a fair shot! Liberal administration: BLAME THE ADMINISTRATION FOR NOT TALKING TO A CONSERVATIVE CHANNEL! HE'S A PUSSY!

Frankly, hindsight should be able to teach people how not to behave. And yes, there are two sides to this type of example (why are liberals continuing the cycle?), but on this specific example, I have no compassion for Fox News for reaping what they sowed.
