i'm starting to think fox news' tagline is more of an ideological crusade than a commitment to truth. it seems to me that the owners want to use their broadcasting power to balance reality with the beliefs of their audience to cultivate the fruition of their goal: stop any momentum for progress and keep the status quo. and so they put out spins and misconceptions designed to tap peoples' emotions and keep them outraged at change. this not only exacerbates the natural inclination of many people, but also provides relief, comfort. this cycle keeps them addicted, and those in charge take advantage of it for their own benefit.
really, it's like its own separate world there on fox news. sure they report on regular news stories, but they also create their own. it's like the ultimate troll tbh
