the house the kid moves into IS in Salem, my father actually did the closing on it. The owners received a nice portrait of the house for allowing it to be used in the movie. The scene where he meets the 2 dumb kids was shot on gallows hill in Marblehead which is right next door. That movie caught a lot of flack around here for negative portrayal of witches.
Laurie Cabot is the most famous 'real' witch around here
I've met her a couple times, she's pretty crazy, has a big following, but as one of her underlings told me 'no one around her would trust her with a gun'
