i just realized i assumed you meant 'chemically' induced and not induced by drugs that we take that affect our perception
my post might not make a whole lot of sense if you are talking about the latter
the old debate among philosophers is whether or not consciousness is the result of chemicals in our brains or if consciousness is something that is separate from our body
i tend to think consciousness was around before the beginning, and being energy it has always been there and always will be in various forms
