i like the idea that physicists are posing now of the multi-verse. that is, an infinity number of finite universes all set up according to different variations of some kind that we cant even comprehend currently because we've evolved according to the rules of this one universe.
i saw this cool japanese dude go in-depth in a video once. maybe i'll try to find it.
