Ddc the problem with socialized healthcare is that it has the unsustainable tendency to get more and more expensive while providing worse and worse care.
and it does so on the backs of the people who otherwise might possibly get the economy going again....
i really dont buy that there are so many people out there that cant afford 5k a year for health insurance, and with health care reform, couldnt be denied private coverage etcetc, reform doesnt have to mean giving your data , stats, power, and choices over to the federal government so that it can re-distribute some of it to you, and some of your share to other people , as it sees fit.
because as a result of such a system the government will almost surely give me crappy healthcare, and give everyone else crappy healthcare too, and give us NO OPTION BUT THE PUBLIC OPTION , but have a provision so that they the congressmen dont have to be in the public option , so they still live in their golden castles with private healthcare and treat the entire non-political class as an underclass of morons who can be manipulated for incremental statistacal gains in "efficiency".
