I use my credit card all the time. I'm legal now, but for 5 years I upgraded my lights 5 or 6 times. If you don't deal and just grow for personal use, the chances of getting fucked with are slim. Not to say you shouldn't be careful but don't be paranoid either. Buying lights or other growing supplies, which are so plentiful online, shouldn't arouse any suspicion towards you.
