You're 23 and living with your parents, going to school for who knows what with the BEGINNING of your career at least 2 years away.
I'm 20, have been living on my own for 3 years, have in that time attained the highest possible national cert in my trade of choice, and saved a good chunk of change (nearing 10k in a tax free savings account), purchased a vehicle and supported myself completely for 3 years now with no help from anybody (including mommy and daddy). I'm 3 years younger than you and in a sense i'm already years ahead of you.
