I'm NOT trying bust balls, but why the 'Socialist' argument?

-If you own a house, even if you don't have kids you are going to pay annual tax on it, because it's partially what funds the school system.

-Police and Fire Departments are 'Government' run and nobody complains about that.

And a few others...
The National Center for Missing and Exploited Children
That's a big one...

The CDC
I give them a 7-8 out of 10

OSHA
Has improved more things in the work place than inconveniences it has created.

NASA
Benefits reach out in countless directions in everyday life

The Military
Not the strategies, but the sum of the combative leverage it represents.
Now, I concede that not every program the big G is involved in is a success. But, the big G has a somewhat established record with health care for some of the citizens already, and I think its time for the rest of the citizens to benefit as well.

If one percent of the money that leaves this country for international aid was held back for citizens of the US, there might not even be a debate.
