I truly do not understand how you can say this when countries around the world have SINGLE PAYER healthcare...the kind of reform the most liberal of liberals were proposing...and yet their healthcare systems thrive...people aren't declaring bankruptcy when they get cancer and need Chemo...the earth didn't open up and swallow the country into a black hole of doom...
What are you basing this fear off of? Look at any modern socialized medicine program around the world. they WORK.
and that's not even what's being proposed...we're still going to have private insurance...we're just letting people who qualify for it have the OPTION of CHOOSING a government program.
