imo not ensuring that our citizens have access to affordable/effective health care is more bankrupting than a hike in taxes, especially when that hike hardly affects the majority of people. what is so hard to understand that the best/fastest way to grow an economy is to encourage an environment where people are willing and able to work? many who could are either literally bleeding out their bodies from being unable to afford seeing a doctor or bleeding out their finances by getting care they cannot afford. these people have children, children who given the circumstances their parents face will probably never have the blessing of a college fund much less one that took a hit from a raise in taxes.
what's funny is you think the country is going to be hurt by a measure that aims to fix something which is currently beating it to death. and i only say it's funny because i'd rather laugh than cry
