I support capitalism because it has been shown to work. I am against socialism on a large scale because it doesnt work on a large scale. If you want to be socialist/communist thats fine but youre country better be small as hell. If youre country is already poor it can only make things better. But socialism is a temporary fix, not a stable economic system.
I support capitalism because I've seen that government interfering with ANY private matter is a bad thing. I am poor, and will probably always be poor. But I still support a completely free market, for the same reason Im against gun laws, the drug war, the patriot act, anti homosexual laws, affirmative action etc.
It has nothing to do with money. I prefer the word laisezz faire or free market over capitalism though...Capitalism has gained a very negative reputation the last 100 years because of idiots who pay lip service to capitalism, but practice corporatism.
