California does seem like a bunch of lame ass liberals from afar but I think the state is like 51% democrat...So theres definetely some opposition. But seriously...Socal is awesome if you get bored easily...Suburbs this way, city that way, hick town over here, snobby beach down over here, arty beach town down there, mountains about an hour away...I wouldnt advise the normal tourist spots (i.e. Hollywood and Highland)..But you have LACMA and MOCA, or you can drive down skid row and watch the most insane bums on earth, chill in Long beach, go see some super cool indie band in silverlake lol. It works for me. If you like places like the midwest or the east coast then its probably not for you.
