Warming's impacts sped up, worsened since Kyoto
Since the 1997 international accord to fight global warming, climate change has worsened and accelerated — beyond some of the grimmest of warnings made back then.
As the world has talked for a dozen years about what to do next, new ship passages opened through the once frozen summer sea ice of the Arctic. In Greenland and Antarctica, ice sheets have lost trillions of tons of ice. Mountain glaciers in Europe, South America, Asia and Africa are shrinking faster than before.

More than 100 million Americans breathe sooty air

WASHINGTON — More than 100 million people living in 46 metro areas are breathing air that has gotten too full of soot on some days, and now those cities have to clean up their air, the Environmental Protection Agency said Monday.
The EPA added 15 cities to the sooty air list, mostly in states not usually thought of as pollution-prone, such as Alaska, Utah, Idaho and Wisconsin. That’s probably because of the prevalence of wood stoves in western and northern regions, a top EPA official said.
Global warming
Global warming is the increase in the average temperature of the Earth's near-surface air and oceans since the mid-20th century and its projected continuation. Global surface temperature increased 0.74 ± 0.18 °C (1.33 ± 0.32 °F) between the start and the end of the 20th century. The Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) concludes that most of the observed temperature increase since the middle of the 20th century was caused by increasing concentrations of greenhouse gases resulting from human activity such as fossil fuel burning and deforestation. The IPCC also concludes that variations in natural phenomena such as solar radiation and volcanoes produced most of the warming from pre-industrial times to 1950 and had a small cooling effect afterward. These basic conclusions have been endorsed by more than 40 scientific societies and academies of science, including all of the national academies of science of the major industrialized countries.
U.S. vs. China: Working Together on Global Warming?
By BRYAN WALSH Friday, Nov. 20, 2009TIME looks at the agenda for the talks in Copenhagen that begin on Dec. 2, 2009
Global warming is a problem that spans the entire world, but when it comes to figuring out how to stop it, the burden will largely fall on two countries: the U.S. and China. The U.S. is the world's largest historic carbon emitter, responsible for putting more greenhouse gases into the atmosphere over the past century and a half than any other nation. China recently surpassed the U.S. as the top emitter and will be responsible for more greenhouse gases in the future than any other country. "These two countries hold the key to sustainability or catastrophe," says Jake Schmidt, international climate policy director for the Natural Resources Defense Council (NRDC).

Health and Environmental Effects
Health
Throughout the world, the prevalence of some diseases and other threats to human health depend largely on local climate. Extreme temperatures can lead directly to loss of life, while climate-related disturbances in ecological systems, such as changes in the range of infective parasites, can indirectly impact the incidence of serious infectious diseases. In addition, warm temperatures can increase air and water pollution, which in turn harm human health.
The Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC, 2007) concluded.
Human beings are exposed to climate change through changing weather patterns (for example, more intense and frequent extreme events) and indirectly through changes in water, air, food quality and quantity, ecosystems, agriculture, and economy. At this early stage the effects are small but are projected to progressively increase in all countries and regions.

Climate Change - Regulatory Initiatives
EPA has issued regulatory actions under the Clean Air Act and in some cases other statutory authorities to address issues related to climate change. Below is a list of these actions along with links to pages with more information.
What Is Global Warming?
The Planet Is Heating Up—and Fast
Glaciers are melting, sea levels are rising, cloud forests are drying, and wildlife is scrambling to keep pace. It's becoming clear that humans have caused most of the past century's warming by releasing heat-trapping gases as we power our modern lives. Called greenhouse gases, their levels are higher now than in the last 650,000 years.
Climate Change
The Earth's climate has changed many times during the planet's history, with events ranging from ice ages to long periods of warmth. Historically, natural factors such as volcanic eruptions, changes in the Earth's orbit, and the amount of energy released from the Sun have affected the Earth's climate. Beginning late in the 18th century, human activities associated with the Industrial Revolution have also changed the composition of the atmosphere and therefore very likely are influencing the Earth's climate.
Cured, or cursed?
By 1992 or so, the 37,000-ton spill in Prince William Sound had been washed (at Exxon's expense) off the rocks and beaches, or simply weathered away. Now, 13 years after the Exxon Valdez spill, a casual observer won't see oil.
Oil does remain in sheltered locations - immune to wind and wave - mainly on about 20 acres of rocky shore, according to an extensive 2001 survey
Science
For over the past 200 years, the burning of fossil fuels, such as coal and oil, and deforestation have caused the concentrations of heat-trapping "greenhouse gases" to increase significantly in our atmosphere. These gases prevent heat from escaping to space, somewhat like the glass panels of a greenhouse.
Hemp Car.org
Ganja/Hemp
Run of the mill oil soaked morons who cheerlead for crude that has killed, perverted and molested more children than smallpox, both as a carcinogen and by causing neurological diseases. Uniquely "American Diseases" or western diseases since the chemicalization of everything sold. Mostly based in fossil fuels and crude oil cellulose, when hemp is 75%, homegrown biodegradable plastic, called cellophane, the kind on the packs of cigarettes. No need to import. Oil prices have nothing to do with gasoline prices. Refineries are negligently inept inefficient and scarce do to shut downs and piss poor maintenance. But bottlenecks ain't nothing new. Traffic jams profit Texxon, Exxon and Condiron. Buy an SUVisa and a Hummer. More demand higher prices, just don't mention "refinery". Like the 404 gag rule it might confuse the lil critters. More profit in prisons than schools.
Splotches spreading unsubstantiated gossip directly from the oil companies propaganda advertisements no less. The only gutter science spewing opposition, a very small minority of total science, yet a part of the same corporatist media and the propaganda minister Rupert non American Murdick and Faux. While the tamer advertisers infotainers maintain the status weirdness. Only squeaking up if one of their pet prohibs is threatened. Trippy bastards with no guilt or remorse or any sign of humanity. Its beyond any acid or illicit drug inebriation to purposely give kids asthma so an international oil company can profit. Or domestic crude pillaging the planet with little shiteating maggots screaming drill more. 90% of the alcohol "stills" before prohibition were fuel for tractors and farm equipment. Then after alcohol prohibition came hemp prohibition. With Rockefellers $5 million donation to the Temperance Movement paying off and his crud running city maintenance and farmers spraying his crud based chemical poisons on what was organic food. Squirrely fucks.
Retardation of basic cognizant thought among those amazingly still walking around, driving and even legislating. Not hard to figure out why we have Ganjawars with so many willing to sell their own identity for a party of rapists. Both parties but GOPerverts are proud of it, while the good intender gullibles have their own forms of herding the masses and tariffs for the sheriffs. Doesn't matter if peak oil happened in 2000, oil kills. Oil damages plants, animals and us because we eat them. Kids breath foul air in Texas because of George Bush as governor reducing the regulations so a few enron cockroaches could get rich while the workers and citizens of the towns got sick. After the schools dropped to last and the air quality worsened they still gave him the presidency. Cannibals.
To lie about Iraq and start a sanctioned non profit WAR, then reduce it to a Mission Accomplished for profit "Police Action" like Vietnam and Korea, learning the lessons of WW!!. Oblamo says pull it out and stick it into Afghanies and continue Big Al Occidentals Plan Colombia, only green it up bringing it closer to Mexico. The country of leave it to beaver yuppie boomers, lying and stalling to keep Ganja outlawed... are the majority and fucked up beyond anything a beverage or bud could possibly do. Naturally, continuously drunk on blind ignorance and selfishness with the golden rule "what's in it for me". Pitifuckingful.
Exxons $100billion dollar devastation in Alaska for tax payers to fork out since Exxons $47 billion dollar profit last year is apparently untouchable. A trillion in bailouts to the Banksters and the Rushettes start teabagging each other over buzzwords like "pork" and "subsidies" for out of work Americans created by Boosh. Except Exxons subsidies. Sheep that don't even have sense to not eat their own lungs. Do they think they're immune? They've already spent more than the fisheries needed to stay in business, on layers of lawyers appalling appeals reducing their fine from $5 bil to $1 and still dropping. These are robots, not breathing citizens of the United States. Palin seems more like she's getting even with Alaskans, seeking vengeance on them more than governing their interests. Why are these murderers permitted air time?
And the flaming termites are quick to side step, divert and sound bite their message to disassociate themselves from the damage. Yabetchya.West Virginia they campaign on jobs and clear cut the mountains, extract the coal and money and leave. No work, no mountaintop. For coal, another fossil fuel totally unnecessary and it kills kids and aborts babies. Cliarence Thomas, lawyer for Monsanto reducing their liability for dioxins in the Mississippi dumping and making Saccharin out of coal tar, another carcinogen praised on TV for its low calories. Cheney - Haliburton - Asbestos. Rumsfeld - Searle Pharmaceuticals - Aspartame.

Sweeeet.
Fluoridation from Aluminum processing, dumped into the water as a Dentifrice for 50 years before the FDA even tested it. Mandated in cities over 50,000 unless citizens voted no, then lose fed funding. Warning labels now on toothpaste. Still unnecessary and baking soda does the same thing without the Osteoporosis. You want to make sure something continues to poison the people to sell expensive "treatment" pharma-poisons with side effect OTC synthetics, just hire a guard to make sure no one tests it. Hummm, the FDA never tested Ganja or Hempseed either. Food and Drug what? You can't set raw red meat or chicken on the counter cause it can kill people, especially babies and seniors. You can set Ganja on the counter. Though that would be possession, inhaling or not. That can lead to serious injury in the Just Inc. system. With its side effects of cages, beatings and sodomy. Khristian deterrents.
Its beyond imagination that pseudo humans would let greed and profits kill their own heritage. Destroy the economy, ecology and still, after 8 years of Klintoon and 8 years of Boosheney sticking a knife in the heart of America, these whiny neo-turds still speak for the majority? To them a hearty
FUCK YOU!!!
This is what you moneysluts fight for?
Pitifuckingfool!
Boycotting Exxon and Mobil gas for the greater good of the American people missing from yahooka????
