i`m not saying that people don`t actually go to the games themselves, but how many people watch on tv? if i recall correctly, MLS doesn't make any money from whatever pereipheral network its carried on now.
the people that go to MLS games go to be entertained by the atmosphere-- primarily their fellow crazy crowd-mates. i went to a toronto fc game, and must say the atomsphere was pretty wicked, but still a poor-man's version of going to any euro-league/premiership experience. doesn't compare to any of the Ajax games i've been to in the netherlands, or even the University game I went to in Sheffield with my buddies from U of Sheffield. that shit was intense. i'd wager that a little leage game in britain is 1000000x more intense than almost any football/soccer game anywhere else. those people are just so fucking into and like live for it.
