do you only have 1 guitar player? if so tell him to stick to rhythm ... or maybe you shouldn't haha, im not sure what kind of music you guys are trying to play ya know?
i mean my favorite type of music is reggae, especially older reggae, so i'm sort of biased toward the "less is more" style of playing, where the negative space, pauses and shit sometimes mean more than the notes themselves.
but yeah the most frustrating thing for me is overly busy guitar players/ drummers.
i play all sorts of instruments, but bass is my favorite, so i understand where you're coming from, but you gotta be patient with guitar players and drummers haha ..
