As far as Hip-Hop albums go, I wasn't too impressed this year.

I liked By The Throat from Eyedea & Abilities, although a lot of people thought they were getting too "emo" or whatever.

I like Ghostface & Raekwon's releases, but they were both pretty average, and OB4CL2 didn't live up to the enormous amount of hype surrounding it... From what I was hearing about it it was supposed to be on the same level as say...a sequel to the bible... On a Wu note I also liked Chamber Music, but I felt it was sloppy and it felt rushed to me... it felt more like a mixtape than an album.

The more I listen to Padded Room from Joe Budden the more it became one of my favorite albums, and is probably my favorite from '09.

There are a lot more I felt were good, but hardly any I thought were great.
