SOG is a method where you use a large number of smaller plants- often with one main kola on each.

Normally you would find a suitable mother plant and clone it for plants to make up the SOG. This way all the plants should grow in a similar fashion so it is easy to keep the canopy even.
Also the clones will be showing preflowering already so you can flower them small.
If you want you can take clones from a mother plant and keep adding a clone every week or so- this way you get a continuous harvest.

If you are growing from seed the plants will likely get a bit big for a SOG grow.

If you don't want to mess around with cloning then consider less plants- maybe 4 in that space. With some Low Stress Training (lst) you can get a nice even canopy so the plants can use all the light.
