We old folks started out being used to living with alot less; we didn't know any different. So all the shit younger people take for granted is all cool new shit to us. It's the consolation prize we receive now that sex has lost its novelty.

I remember those days, Rev. Tuning the TV was a hard twisting of a mechanical dial that went "ka-chunk" when it clicked into position. The first remotes were these goofy, clunky, ultrasonic things that caused a motorized mechanism in the TV to turn the ka-chunker for you, when they worked, then you had to get up anyway just like you said to adjust the antenna. It was full of tubes and transformers and weighed as much as a car. We lived in the city and could get all four channels!
