its not a matter of dismissing them, its a matter of having a feeling based on their actions that they care more about getting the cash money than having any idea about how to wisely spend it.

another take, the reason the rich are rich is often because they are smart and know what to do with their money (ie they know how to use their money to acomplish the goals they want)....it seems to me it makes way more sense to have money in the hands of people who know how to wisely use it to acomplish broad ends like starting a small business or developing a product etc.... instead u suggest that the poorest wretches and uneducated people would be able to make wiser decisions about how to direct the money of a nation- without being racsit or rude a huge percentage of the people u want to give money to would probably go out and buy alcohol or drugs with it 5 minutes after getting their check.

the most effective way to end poverty in america would be to get a bunch of ceos in a room tasked with ending poverty and see what they come up with- assuming the ceos were actually going to dedicate their effort to fixing the problem and not just pretending to save their own asses .... the smartest , best, people, have money because they are capable of making the best smartest decisions and they can appreciate cause and effect better than other ppl, etc.... to take the wealth and power from those who have earned it, to give it to those who would squander it, doesnt seem that smart.

its not a question of looking down on the poor, its a question of realizing that u cant turn a poor uneducated person into a middle class american overnight by giving him some middle class trappings....you have to start from the ground up, and i havent heard any plan to do that, just demands for others peoples money to fix their problems, but no explanation of what the fix will be ....
