Bartok was a 20th century Hungarian composer; much "20th century classical" is known for being rather dissonant and harsh sounding, especially on first hearing, but the cream of the crop of 20th century genius music does grow on you with more hearings. The piano part is the condensed version of the orchestra; this was recorded in London at the Guildhall School of Music in 2001; I dug up the tape today and was inspired to finally, after all these years, figure out how to rip images from Google Images of Bartok and put them with my audio in Windows Movie Maker. Here is the result. Definitely the crowning achievement of my undergraduate years (this was the recording that got me accepted into the Cleveland Institute of Music for grad school).
