but i do think that if obama would have done the healthcare meeting, and followed it by a genuine meeting in the middle that we could move forward and get something passed with 80 senators voting yes.

theres no reason why we shouldnt help some people now, even if we cant agree on helping all of them now. the healthcare meeting showed me once again that my feelings about obama were pretty correct- he trys to be sepearte from pelosi and reid and liberal crackheads as much as he can, but sometimes they just drag him over to their side.

during this meeing i got to hear the voices of some dems that i never really heard before on this issue bc they had been drowned out by pelosi and her arrogant bulshit for months.... some dems i feel genuinely are in politics or in support of this issue because they want to help poor people- i feel like THOSE dems, the ones who want the bill because of helping people and not because of idealogical liberalism and government takeovers, i think those moderate dems would support a cross-party bipartisan plan to fix healthcare without turning us into a social democracy like europe.

so in the end what did the healthcare meeting acomplish ? i dunno , it looks like pelos is just gonna keep on smashing her shit that people dont want thru....

but it just seems to me like the dems have had chance after chance after chance to turn towards the middle, and obama has taken step after step to show he is not a liberal like pelosi, but somehow still he manages to let her take the reins in the end and drive their party to the far left and away from compromise. i think its a terrible mistake, and i think obama will find that pelosi and reid ruined his presidency. so i actually wish he would stand up to them even more than he has done, and i think the way he chided waxman at the healthcare meeting for "making campaign speeches" was a good start, but the last year has shown that in the end obama seems to fall back into the same trap despite occasional glimmers that he is a moderate.

the bottom line is obama can choose to get something bipartisan done, to push the monstrosity bill thru, or to do nothing.

which of those do u think would be best for him ? and which for america? surely most people think the bipartisan way is the way to go. the voters of MASSACHUSETS , TED KENNEDYS PEOPLE, VOTED FOR SCOTT BROWN SO HE COULD STOP THE DEMS, now they dems are gonna say oh we can do it with 51? if they dont see how scott brown was elected almost solely because he would stop them from being 60, and now they just turn around and say oh we really only need 51, its just ridiculous, they are so out of touch with the pulse of the nation.
You know the democrats couldn't even get some privacy provisions put in the disgusting Patriot Act because they knew they couldn't get the 60 vote supermajority that is now needed to pass any legislation. Don't talk about bi-partisanship when there is no possibility of it from the party of no. And it's funny how reconciliation has been ok for the republicans to use it. 16 out of the last 22 times it's been used, it has been by republicans. It wasn't a "trick" then.

You really believe the people of Mass voted for brown to stop the dems? Maybe they voted for him because there hasn't been one iota of change since the dems took power. Sadly, they'll find there will be no change with brown either.

I think you secretely mastubate over pelosi's picture on your bedroom wall.
