Doorway
Standing in this doorway one last time
I can see where I went wrong and what I need to find
We lived and loved as though we were one
Your name the last thing to roll of my scared and lonely tongue
I told you when we met, that I had never been alone
You smiled and laughed and promised me a home
Never did I see the fangs behind the rosy lips
How could I miss the powerful, deadly tips
Smile into the bright light of the night
Show me where I went wrong
Tell me why the we must wager this fight
Must it go on for so long, without so much as a singer for the song
