Well I'm not gonna lie, it's not like I've gone over her lyrics with a fine tooth comb or anything.

Just from the songs I've heard from her it's always sounded quite melodramatic and focused on things I can't relate to.. like being obsessed with men, or wanting lots of money, or drugs as a means of escaping, etc. And all very self-centered.

I wouldn't go so far to say that it's a glorification of any of those things, but from my perspective it's certainly a verbal discharge of content that is no way useful or important. As one opinion article puts it:
"Lana Del Rey fetishizes her own bubble, her own petty failures, and wallows in her first-world misadventures, compromises and desires, with one eye staring into her own iPhone camera lens, the other fixed on her own reflection in the mirror. And we can’t stop staring at her."

Sounds like some useless bullshit.
