I have grown using a flood and drain system before with excellent results. I am now using an aeroponics system and I have to say, the growth I'm seeing is unlike anything I've seen before. My res. is large and I can leave it alone for up to one week at a time. I guess I could go longer but I like to change the water every week. The downfall to an areoponics system is if you have a pump failure you only have about six hours before you will loose your plants. Therefore I keep a back up pump and try to check them every morning and evening. If I was unable to do this I would probably go back to a more simple system like a flood and drain or ebb and flow.
