There's a lot of competition in Toronto, makes things tough.

But there are also many more artists who have a similar 'dialogue' like mine. which is inspiring to me

I went to school for architecture.

All self-taught, aside from two small workshops on painting and printmaking.

inspiration? I think I was on molly when I created that "duality" image of mother mary, back in 2012.

here's a gif I made of a larger piece that is still a work in progress.

Noice. Love the gif of course.

Question.. How do you go about pricing your art?

Does it go by size?

I have no idea.. You seem to be smart about it.

I'm not that smart about it!

I am getting better.

Later today I'm going to scan a "pricing chart" for you (and some of my other emerging artists friends).

I need your advice because you are awesome.
How do I create depth in this?
Everything is to flat.

I have an idea.. But I want first hand advice.

as a general rule, objects in the front are bright/bold/high contrast and objects in the back are dull/low contrast.

a simple solution would be to use a whitish/pale wash over part of the painting that you want to send in the back.

basically add more white!
