Nice work my friend. When I get home I see take some pictures. Paint is definitely not my favorite medium. But when i get something I like, it feel really good. I have spent a lot of money on canvas just to fuck around with... good quality canvas paper is amazing! lol

I have bought cheap canvas and they seem like someone sprayed water repellent on them.

I have pretty much nothing to show in paints... only worked with watercolor.. but I hope to try some more (acrylic) on canvas in the near future

Roach 01-17-2012 07:33 PM

I used to be able to buy Canvex (sp) board for oil and acrylic. Once I started using acrylics I dropped the oils (took to long ) I never went back to em.

Thru moving and time I've lost or given away everything I ever did.

Some of my better ink drawings/designs were done on drafting linen, mylar and clayboard using scatch technique.
I liked using a crowquill pen and later rapidographic pens.

Maybe once I retire I'll get back into it.

ultra smooth drawing paper and mylar type materials are awesome for pen work. expensive though... aha.

Space, time, inspiration, and more canvas. I only have 1 right now, and it was somebody else's that 'started with an idea' and didn't get very far, so it's purple swirls at the moment, not exactly a "blank canvas" to begin with :p
