i suppose you could transform those entities into any animal in the kingdom...i know this tree personally...it even speaks every morning..it cracks...lol

i know of markets that would be interested in seeing the animals coming to life in the branches, limbs and especially the roots....you might benefit from a private tour in my Stick Room!!

Ok. Tell me what animal you wish to see first. Also, a tour of your stick room sounds interesting. Dont know what to expect... but I have always been more curious than cautious

Most of this work starts out on paper. I draw the idea down, scan it, then use photoshop. It is mostly digital paintings. I am, however, an experienced painter. I can work with acrylics and oils, but I prefer oils. I am still working out the kinks on my tree-figures. I am not satisfied with the anatomy. Once I have the concept and figures exactly where I want them to be, then I wil begin to work with oils. My approach is much more cost effective; I find it smarter to practice with the digital stuff first, instead of spending tons of money on paints and other materials, especially while I work out the kinks...

I do a little bit of everything. I can pretty much handle anything relating to art. I have taken many classes. I practice a lot, and I love it! Love is the secret... it overpowers everything else!

How about a tree figure on the edge of what was once a beautiful forest but a fire has taken everything with it. The figure is kneeling down crying for what was lost but also in the back there is a ray of light as you can see new flowers beginning to blossom and new trees starting to take root.

I'm not about to forget this one....back on monday with a few pics to stir up your imagination but if you could come right here....I'd take you on a tour like no other. There's magical places that just light right up....there's places that have unknown, unexplainable vibrations, when in that sacred space, magic happens...you need to come and feel it!!

Awesome my man.

Really good to see another 'hookan post their visual creativeness aside from Turmaline and I.

(We) Would love to see some of your oil paintings if that's cool.

I have pictures of mostly of old works. Its been 2-3 years since I did anything serious. Mainly because I was searching for a concept that had meaning to me. I finally found it too. Its only a matter of time before I begin to paint again.

Anybody can obtain the skills through school, and practice. The skills are useless without a creative mind. You my friend have a creative mind, the skills will come, just keep practicing. Step outside your comfort zone and just jump into it! Check out some books on light logic, color theory, composition, perspective, anything relating to art. Watch short tutorials on painting techniques, and try it! Or better yet, try oil pastels. If you like crayons, you will love oil pastels. You will never know how good you are at something if you never try it.

Two years ago Ex w/ kids
what to do? Arts and Crafts!

Tiny Easels!
Tiny Canvasses!!
Real brushes though.

This is the one we started, mine was the puppy and the snail.
We were surprised at how much fun it was to paint.
It was easier to teach'em when you had a few art classed under your belt too.

The highlights and color mix & matching
make it fun at trying to make it look like the photo!

real vivid colors too.

Ah shit memories.

but if you wanna finish the piece you gotta buy more paint separately,
but that's cool.

You do really good work. I've never seen anything like the tree pics. Very out of the box.
