Children's Book

I'm making a children's book for my daughter, mailing her a new page twice a month. This is page one that I'm sending. Thought I'd share just the 1st page. Thoughts, comments?

Sir-Ex 03-23-2013 01:45 PM

Sir-Ex 03-23-2013 01:45 PM

I like it. It definetly has a childlike illustration. The colors are great. The linework is very organic, it helps accentuate the subtle textures. My only seggestion: The big tree on the left needs a more interesting base. One that is a little less dynamic than the big tree on the right.

add 4 roots to the tree...4 directions, 4 colours of man....it's all about 4

The moon is brighter than the stars you can see.. so technically there must be a sun star nearby.. your daughter will surely point this out to you.. or could that be part of where the story of Evermoon is leading..!? I'll get my coat.

Anyway.. it is very cool and inspires me to make my own story book for my boy. I started writing one a while back.. but it wasn't illustrated. I have this book already to read..

Keep up the great work and post an update when ya can.

Btw are you mailing her because you don't live together.. or because it's just cool to mail her there..?

It could be a planet in a locked orbit where one side is perpetual night and the other perpetual day.
However you would have to keep that in mind when designing the plant life, as they would have to survive without sunlight.
