Black & White Photography

Hey!

As I mentioned in The Balls Thread, Ive recently dug up my old 35mm stills camera, and I've been messing around with some Black and White stocks.

Heres some a few shots from recent months that I'm pleased with:

Awesome!
I miss playing with the 35 mm.. And playing in the dark room.
Good old highschool days... I remember having to put the film in in the pitch dark... Or was it take it out?

More please!

you using any filters?

Über King 06-28-2014 01:11 AM

Nah I'm not using any filters at the moment. To be honest I'm a little less certain about the kind of effects I could get using a filter with Black and White. Ill do some research into it though.

Glad you like the shots, heres a couple more

you can get colours to pop out a little better(not actual colours but the details in areas of certain colours)--i am also not an expert since its been years since i did any film shooting, but i remember red filters make clouds look super cool in black and white. you can add filter effects to B&W photos in photoshop lightroom so maybe you have some digital pictures you can desaturate and play around with.

otherwise good work. i like the pictures. i miss my dads old A1

The first one looks like the girl on the left is stuck in the mud or floating without lower limbs. Also the guy on left in the second photo and the middle in the fourth photo... is he your father or uncle!?

Back in the day I used to use a black and white enlarger so could only develop black and white photos after using it. It really works well with some photos! Nowadays I like to change certain photos after the fact.. A few examples...

Nice one! I really wanna get set up with a darkroom soooo baaaad. First step is to buy a developing kit though lol. I scan my negs from there, but to get back into printing again would be sweet!

Love your shots Mesc! The guy you're on about is my g/f's Dad. In the fourth picture he's with 2 of his brothers (he has 7)

Heres some more stills - in the form of a video this time! (some work i did a few weeks ago)
