Last time I posted in here I was thinking about working at a massage parlour. Well yahooka, I did it. I've been working here for about 2 months now. It's really not terrible and, -I'm going to be completely honest with you guys- it's been a very rewarding experience.
It's helped me tremendously financially and just boosted my confidence and self worth through the roof.
I was always a very shy person. Now I have NO problem standing up for myself or voicing my opinion if I feel like I'm being cheated. Not to mention I'm much more comfortable with my body.
I started at the more 'reputable' chain in the city... Newly renovated, good managers, and the girls are all decent and not drug addicts. Mostly students but some older ladies as well.

Maybe I should explain what happens for those that have no idea?

So you walk in, choose how long you want to stay and with which girl. There are never less than 3 girls for safety reasons. Once you go into the room we turn on the radio and the shower and lay a sheet on the massage table. We give you a few minutes to shower and prepare yourself. Then we join you a couple minutes after we hear the shower turn off. We do a full nude erotic body massage, so we're both naked. The first 20 minutes is an actual relaxing or deep tissue massage. The next 5 minutes is for the hand release and the last 5 minutes is for 'pillow' talk and a shower if the client wants.


We make our money off tips. Most clients tip 40 dollars just for the half hour. Every attendant is different but most attendants will do 'extras'. I personally do light touching (anywhere a thong doesn't cover, so nothing invasive and if you get too close or make me uncomfortable I WILL end the massage) or fetishes. I won't do anything that would require protection. Any questions?

It sounds a lot different in the states. It's pretty taboo. It depends on the city here, but the city I live in is REALLY lenient and we get paid (not to mention treated) MUCH better than in surrounding cities. In many cities you need to get a sex worker license which can be 500$ a year and in order to do that you need to check in with the police and hand in STD test results. (Our boss makes us get one every 3 months regardless of city laws, though)

I actually make a percentage off the massage as well, but I couldn't pay my rent with it.

The client pays ME first, and I pay my boss at the end of the night. I pay him for use of facilities, oil, water, and yes, protection. There are panic buttons in every room and we haven't had anyone seriously hurt since it's been open- 15 years. He gives us girls a ride home EVERY night and watches to make sure we make it through our door. He's reasonable and understanding (brought me a coffee and came and took an hour out of his busy schedule to come talk to me when my boyfriend broke up with me), not to mention he doesn't ask his employees to suck his dick like most massage parlour owners. I work at a very classy parlour, by far the nicest in the city. It attracts a higher class clientele. I appreciate his marketing and it's really comforting knowing if a client fucks with me, I've got some tough ass mother fuckers backing me up. My second night I had a very drunk, very vulgar boy come in. Rude as can be, tellin me my titties weren't big enough and I needed to get new ones, and I should lose weight, blah blah. Actually having sex for money isn't illegal in Canada. Solicitation of prostitution (in public) is against the law however. Although it sounds like the business you're working in might be considered a bawdy house and your manager is probably guilty of living off the avails (pimping). But I'm guessing the police look the other way in your part of Canada.. (BC?)

edit: i just wanna add that i think these laws that make prostitution illegal are equally as backwards as our drug laws. its the same stupid logic applied to an equally dangerous and important issue.
