Check it out...
This blog was written on 08/25/08 and saved as a draft but I dont think it was ever posted. So here ya go people... I am the king of random thoughts....
...It doesn't matter who you are or where you're from we're all subjected to something harmful and unhealthy every single day. Behaviors and habits that serve to slowly, over time, degrade our body and shorten our life span. There are a lot of things people do daily to destroy themselves. Maybe its no cause for concern. What we could be seeing is the natural growing pains of a young humanity thats coming of age. All races all peoples finding the strength and the will to arrive at the same conclusion. The list of things people do to destroy themselves gets longer everyday. Things like stress induced irregular sleeping patterns. Most people have poor eating habits and thereby shorten their life by ingesting unhealthy food. Some people choose to smoke cigarettes even after knowing the possible negative side effects. Some may drink in excess or take a whole variety of street or prescription drugs. Many blindly follow religious leaders like drones under the influence. You think you are free but thats just the image projected by those in control. The enviroment you live in becomes like the radio stations you listen to. Radio stations imply that you have a choice but there is a limited number of stations and each station has a limited playlist. If you call and request a song and it gets played don't be fooled. Chances are that the station was going to play that song anyway. They are the ones who produce what you want. Just like the establishments that exist right outside your front door. The playing field is rigged against you. If you open your eyes you'll see that your choices are not only limited they are already made for you. Why isn't there more healthy options than unhealthy? We may never know the answer, but we can speculate. Because you do have the people who exercise, eat healthy (no fast food) they don't do any drugs and still have a high level of stress. Or be forced to breath unclean air and drink unclean water. I guess my point is that no matter how hard we try there are things we do in our daily life that we know will shorten our life span yet we continue to do these things everyday. Now, how about a partial list of things I do everyday that I know will likely shorten my life span. The unwanted rather long list starts with smoking cigarettes (almost a pack a day for 14 years), the fact that I drink more Coke than I do water, or the frequently unbalanced meals which means my body isn't getting the kind of nutrients it needs to thrive. On top of all that I don't eat breakfast very often. Then there is the fact that I either sleep too much or don't get enough sleep. The concern for my immediate future and the future of the world can add unmeasurable stress on my mind. Last but not least on this short list of my ill advised behavior, is the fact that I'm totally and utterly out of my mind insane. I should be considered insane if for nothing else then because I just posted this list. Anyway, that was just the short list, the list does go on and on... I wish it didn't but it does. I didn't intend to be this age and have so many unhealthy habits. I believe I slowly evolved into what I am today. With that in mind, I don't think theres any kind of quick way to reverse things. I can't flip a switch and suddenly be different. It becomes a 'take it one day at a time' kind of quest. I know that success in all areas of my life is within reach, I'm reaching... Blogs are unhealthy.
