I'll come here from time to time and post my random stories, thoughts, and observations. This is my place for stuff that I feel might be too... "outside" for the forums or for more personal shit that I don't want just any YaHookan seeing. If you've stumbled across this blog, feel free to read away! Love of Music

Posted 11-01-2010 at 01:56 PM by SmokeaJoint

I'm thinking, the era that we grow up in might be the same era of music we love most. Its true for me anyways.

I did most of my growing up/musical discovery in the 90s. I really don't like anything pre-90s, but some new stuff is just fine. My favorites in music, most of them anyways, are all 90s era music. The whole grunge thing, rappers like Eminem came out, the Chili Peppers came into mainstream, punk rock was pretty big, all that good shit. The whole rock genre itself was just out of this world, quickly recovering from the complex poison they called music from the 80s. Who let hair music come into existence anyways? The fuck they call that shit hard rock for? Some people need to be shot, for real.

Now, I need at least one opinion (musical) from someone from a different era, or from someone who likes music mostly from a time different than that of the "growing up" phase.

DISCLAIMER: This is 100%, biased personal opinion. Don't expect facts, graphs, any kind of anything to lend credibility. Its just me folks.
