I don't think it's a very good idea to add water to oil. Also, 2 tbsp is fine if you have a pot with a 4-6inch diameter. Trust me , it was absolutely enough to simmer a gram, make sure you grind it up well though.

Yes, I would think the water would not be such a good idea as it would dilute the olive oil/fat somewhat and probably dilute/minimize the effectiveness of the THC.

gvr4 - just did your recipe, and even powdered, I still had a little more "chunkiness" than expected. But, sopped it up with couple of pieces of bread, which didn't taste too bad, really. In fact, sopping it up in bread was the way to go - like licking the bowl, got all the shit, and it didn't taste bad at all. Let's see what happens...

hahah did this once. I took about 1/8 ounce of weed and cooked it in some olive oil. Then i mixed it with some Hershey bars. It tasted pretty much like a brownie expect a lot sour.
hahaha I was high for 2 days and 6 hours straight. I had some of that purple haze shit. haven't smoked pot since. it was that satisfying (sort of scary too)

500 ml? I mean it'd have to be REAL potent like 10 drop trot. And you couldn't smoke it so that's kind of lame for a hundred dollars . Better bet is too make it yourself with the high quality bud.

does anyone know if the weed should turn brown if your cooking it with a double boiler and olive oil? It it ever supposed to get really gross brown looking? kind of like tobacco.

I was under the impression that it should and my first go just using a skillet did it. But now that i'm doing this much better heat controlled method which I assume is hot enough to extract it's been sitting for an hour and the oil is green, but the weed is still kind of green too.

Should I be good? since maybe i burnt it before and now the heat isn't hot enough to do it. I suppose I'll find out soon, an hour for a few bowls in a couple tablespoons of oil should be plenty i would think.

Not even, the two don't mix at all and since oil holds more heat energy than water, the water would just be bubbling and popping and boiling away, probably spraying some of your oil droplets out in the process.

Well, tea is the best mushie trip I've had, this only makes sense.

My big thing is the house smelling, especially if anyone came to the door or something. Was it really noticeable that you were cooking weed?

I'll Have to try this. I like an oral high--especially because of the duration. After a short time of enjoyment I became extremely tolerant of oral use but this sounds promising. I'll try to post about it.

My experience has been that it turns brown once its essences have been thoroughly extracted into the base oil/liquid.

I just tried this, slammed the shot. I didn't really want to use a full 1g (didn't have that much left). Not sure what I used, probably .5g. Its been about 30 minutes, not feeling anything too strong yet. Is 1g the minimum?

im 15 and ive been cooking like all my life...
plus im in the culinary academy at school...
i use olive oil with a bunch of things and one of my favorite things to eat when im high is salad...so smoke a blunt then have some mud fuckin weed salad!!
GAH! cant wait till i have the house alone for a couple hours to cook some.

I just thought you can probly make soups and caramels it might be hard because you use high heat with caramel but ill try it...if anyone else does let me know.

If you go over 300 degrees you are in danger of having your THC vaporize and float away. I try not to go much past 212 F.
