I just recently did some cookies, I was making 3 dozens so I used an ounce on one stick of butter. I think there is no secret number to it, you just figure it out:
What are you using the butter for? brownies? cookies? just divide a gram per serving. Thats what I did, I figured an ounce is 28 grams and I was making 36 cookies, and the recipie needed just one stick of butter, so I used an ounce on one stick, thats a little less than an gram per cookie. |

im making all sorts of things, but i want to make the butter first. i figured a stick of butter can only absorb so much thc.
and what kind of bud were you using? an ounce of schwag and an ounce of nugs differ quite greatly in thc content. sorry if my questions are too vague

one brick of butter is one stick, usually a kg, I would think... either a lb or a kg. just the regular rectangular bricks of butter you dig?
AFAIK an ounce is good regardless of whether it's heady or schwag. Just experiment yo..

I use whatever will simmer without drying up.
I think the lb of butter would be oily enough for a couple ounces, but 1 oz per lb is the generally accepted rule from what I have read.

mid grade weed isn't usually in nug form and if it is it's still fucking middle grade aka not the worst but not the best. change up "nugs" with dank or kind bud or whatever you call it. if you want to get technical the non tastey, but still in "nug" or "bud" form, i refer to as beasters(B grade bud for further definition). regardless of regional slang, i'm simply asking for opinions from people who do this somewhat frequently. i've been experimenting for quite some time now, but i want the maximum potential this time. i'm not really seeking a solid number i wanted to gauge from a couple people who have done this more then just one or two times as an experiment. thank you for the input so far, but i want MORE!!

I usually use oil.
For about 50 fluid ounces(whatever that bottle size is) of canola cooking oil, you would wanna use an ounce of dank/high-grade or a 3 ounces of stress/mids/mersh/shwag/whatever. if your proportions for the weed input are smaller than the recipe calls for, just use whatever the recipe calls for.

Either way I would say do expiriments in really small batches from varying recipes found on the net, and probably start from above mentioned ratios. It's probably the only way to get perfect for your available weed. Or you can just visit me and we can get some premade cannabutter from the club
