Help.. Burnt Butter!
Hey Gang- I'm in a bit of hot water so to speak.. It's 4am & I can't get to sleep.. I took 1/2 a Z of Regs and de-stemmed/seeded it and ground it in the coffee mill which yielded 9 usable grams to simmer. I stirred it precisely every 15 mins or less for an hour and a half, but then decided to try a new 3-4 hour simmering recipe & pulled it out of the fridge and back on med low for 2 minutes to get going' then low low heat. By the time the second 15 minute timer went off at just at the 2 hour mark or so, I walked to the kitchen & smelled smoke- it was pretty burned. I used European butter for the higher butter fat - but I've never , not ever burned butter before..nor cooked it on low for any longer than about 90 mins.. Uhg!
Is it at all salvageable? Is there a trick? Maybe cream half a stick of regular butter with the sugar & cannabutter and bake normally? If it's wrecked It'll suck.. but if the baked goods work but won't taste great, I'll mos def still bake 'em.. Have I completely burned off the cannabinoids? I really don't want to toss it and need some sound advice-the kind that comes from experience if at all possible before I proceed.
Any help would be greatly appreciated..
Thanks :~/
