Marijuana and Pressure Cooking
I little while ago I bought a large (23qt) presto pressure cooker for sterilizing jars of substrate. Well I ended up not using it for the reason I bought it, but it's turned out to be surprisingly useful! Food cooks much faster (several frozen chicken breasts in ~12 minutes, 8 pounds of extremely tender pulled pork in ~50 minutes). and my taste buds have confirmed what I have heard, that the lower cooking temp preserves flavor and nutrient content.
Just recently I've thought of using this to make some good Cannabis Cuisine. Google has revealed to me that the normal pressure of 15psi is right around 250F/121C. Does anybody think that this could speed up the speed/efficiency of making budder? I've also thought of making pasta sauce/something else (in a pressure cooker or normal method) and then using the pressure cooker to get sterile, stable, no-need-to-refridgerate mason jars. Thoughts? Useful input? Non-useful input? I'll take whatever ![]() ps, this is the pressure cooker I have. Kind of pricey at first, but better than comparable brands of a similar price. Got it off amazon.com
