Nice! Cooking is something I HAVE TO consider if I ever get into growing. It's easier on the lungs no doubt and more manageable in the car and traveling

Nice to see this forum getting some play, thanks Jojo

One big bonus regarding edibles for me is. I barely need so smoke on the days I eat my stuff. My husband isn't big on eating, and prefers to smoke. So this is a bit of a money saver, (unfortunately cannot grow right now), the purchased medicine from the dispensary lasts a bit longer, my husband has plenty to smoke, and I stay stoned most of the day. Usually do not smoke much until later in the evening. So it all works out.
It helps a lot to know a grower, who is like family and gives us trim when we need it..
Don't get me wrong tho, buying butter and or different oils, some equipment, baking igredients, that adds up to. I just now personally prefer the much longer acting effects that taking cannabis this way axomplishes. Of course I will always love to smoke... Just takes me A LOT more smoking to get nearly as high..

I need to learn more about my dosage...

Too often I've become really hot and started stripping down, trying to get cool...
Or I get overwhelmed and weak feeling....

One time it cleaned out me laxative style.... sorry to be graphic, but I'm just like how do I do this right...

I don't think I dosed THAT heavy, so not sure if my body likes it or not.

I'm a light weight for sure.... been a pretty steady decline throughout time and now I'm down to lie 7 grams lasting nearly 45 days.... one or two hits and I'm good for an hour or so before I'll take another.

Not sure if it's age, blood pressure or what... but it doesn't exactly sit with me as well as it used to, although I still have more enjoyable moments.

I honestly think it might be the city

Ah I never did cope too well with heat, but haven't done too bad with sweat/sauna/hot tubs...

My iron is always rock solid when I give blood and my protein is where is ought to be...

Makes me wonder more about my blood sugar than anything honestly.

I can breath well, so I guess I don't have too much build up in the pipes yet, that is sort of why the 'eating' thing is something I wish I could get into knowing what just a nibble will do for me

When eaten, undercooked (or raw) cannabis can give some folks intestinal problems.

Those "little tiny hairs" need softening up. However when sufficiently cooked or converted to butter/budder most can enjoy with no problems.

same here...even after all these years of chronic...chronic . Blood ox is perfect.

must be the amount of Cheech I Chong.

fyi...

Calea zacatechichi, also known as Dream Herb, Cheech, and Bitter Grass, is a plant used by the indigenous Chontal of the Mexican state of Oaxaca for oneiromancy (a form of divination based on dreams.) The plant naturally occurs from southern Mexico to northern Costa Rica. It has been scientifically demonstrated that extracts of this plant increase reaction times and the frequency and/or recollection of dreams versus placebo and diazepam. It is also employed by the Chontal people as a medicinal herb against gastrointestinal disorders, and is used as an appetizer, cathartic anti-dysentery remedy, and as a fever-reducing agent.

Wussow et al. (1985) indicates that the correct Latin name is Calea ternifolia Kunth, of which two varieties are recognized.

It all starts with a lot of trial and error. The first batch of butter I made was so strong, so so strong in flavor, that yes it got me baked, BUT with each bite was a gag and a wretch!! Not my best work. As time went on, and pound and pounds of , butter and trimmed were used, I've gotten 100% better. I started out shopping around on amazon for some books on baking with cannabis. Will post names of books here in a bit. The best book so far, has been the actual textbook for the canna cooking course at Oaksterdam U, just a few miles up the road from me. Although I have taken much of the info from each book, and sort of added my own twists and treats to make it my own.
i will get more into my use of coconut oil here too. I have yet to see anyone i've come across, prepare tastey medicinal fruit smoothies... I bring my medicine every where I go, even to dialysis clinic, etc. No one has a clue, and im getting so stoned sipping on a healthy blend of fruit puree, sherbet, and a buttload and a half of pot.... LMAO

I will be more than happy to share anything I've learned.
currently latest project has been tinctures.... more to come one that!!
