Here's the idea of this thread;
The most frequently asked question around here is "How much bud do I need to use?" The intent of this thread is to provide a reference thread to point people in the direction of. Simply we will all post in here how much bud we used in cooking. Since there are so many variables in cooking with marijuana I suggest the following template. We should fill the template on an individual instance basis. Not what we generally use, but what we used on a particualr occassion. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Amount of Bud: 5g Servings: 4 Amount per serving: 1.25g Weight/tolerance of User #1: (me) 185lbs heavy smoker Weight/tolerance of User #2: 110lbs light smoker Weight/tolerance of User #3: Weight/tolerance of User #4: Weight/tolerance of User #5: Quality/Grade/Brief Description: Recently purchased Kind Bud. Compact buds, thin stems, and no seeds. Somewhat crystaly. Smells piney. Fat/Alcohol used: Shortening Method: Browned in shortening, allowed to cool, used in baking recipe. Results User #1: Ate full serving. was heavily stoned for 4-5 hours results User #2: Ate little more then half serving. Serving: 1 Weight/tolerance: 175lbs smoke a couple times a week Quality: Mids, $25 8th, dry, took the stems and seeds out. Fat/Alcohol used: olive oil Method: Browned in oil in spoon, over a candle, let cool, repeated. Mixed in chocolate pudding. Results: Full serving, pretty stoned for at least 4 hours (went to sleep after 4 hours) |

Fat/Alcohol used: peanut butter Method: Put a fuckload of peanut butter on two graham crackers, put the weed in between and microwaved that shit at 10 second bursts for about 3 mins Results User #1: Ate the shit then smoked a bowl to speed things up a bit. I have to say it gave me a really nice lasting high.

This was last winter, but what the hell...
amount of bud: 3/4 of an ounce of prematurely harvested dank. The hairs were white, not red yet. Serving: 1 Weight/Tolerance: 136 pounds, at the time I was a fairly heavy smoker. Fat used: weed browned in butter, used in brownies, weed and butter, not strained off. Results: Holy crap. I was past being high. Like, I was so stoned, the more psychadelic effects of marijuana came into play. That, or it kicked my hppd into high gear, either way, I was getting heavy tracers, closed eye geometric patterns, and the weird "stretching" feeling you get when very stoned on low tolerance. It also made me very sick, not really anything in the mix, just being so high was quite uncomfortable. This lasted most of the day, eventually becoming more comfortable as the day progressed...I did not smoke in addition to this, I think It would have kicked my ass much more so had I smoked in conjunction..the only reason we ate so much was because it was free and we did'nt know how much was needed to eat... |

amount of bud- 9grams
tolerance- pretty light smoker servings-1-just me eatin it had to eat it because i was gettin pulled over well i went home and shit started happenin after a while and i was goin good for like 4-5 hours and i went to bed at like 3 or 4 abd didnt wake up till 4:30 the next day to go to work . At work everyone thought i was high and i was reallly dizzy and could barely stand it sucked cuz i woirk in a kitchen and it was so hot i couldnt do anything |

Approx. 5grams of quality herb to make 8 brownies
so its .625grams per brownie cooked the bud in half a cup of butter me 140lbs occasional smoker 3 brownies girl 1 120 lbs non smoker 2 brownies girl 2 120 lbs non smoker 2 brownies I was so amazingly gone wow high for hours woke up at 3pm the next day with everything in slow motion minor high as the rest of the brownie digested through the rest of the day next day 1 brownie to my friend 150lbs every day smoker never had brownies before: high off 1 brownie PS your eyes will get sooooo red from eating these things be careful

Servings:2 brownies at first. he ate more and got really loaded while i was passed out Weight/user:male 180 lbs female 125 lbs Quality:normal shwag...nothing special, removed the sticks and seeds Fat:vegetable oil called for in brownie recipe Method: just browned the weed with the oil for about 10 minutes until it started smelling like it would ruin the brownies. baked them as instructed on box for 8X8 pan size and iced them. then cut into six squares. Results: we did this on 420. they tasted really good with the icing on them and i had used betty crocker with fudge chunks in them. i made a really good dinner and then we each ate 2 warm ones. took about an hour to kick in, then i just felt like a vegetable for the rest of the evening and night. i couldn't even smoke. i ended up passing out and my SO ate another one and i think it was a lil too much haha. will definitely be doing this again soon |

amount: 4 grams midds dro, 2g GOOD hash, 2g smoked throughout the day
servings: 6 brownies method: heated in butter then straind ans froze, 1g in the mix itself users: 105lbs female, (medium smoker) 200lbs male, (HEAVY smoker) 160lbs male (light smoker) results: baked so as we couldnt move for 12 hrs. the chick had one brownie, we had 2, and the dog had one.

Amount: 1gram of decent bud.
Weight/tolerance: 155 lbs, 6'1/light smoker Method: Fry the bud in about 3TBS of olive oil on medium heat for about 10min. Add two eggs and cook until eggs are ready. Result: I was stoned for about 12 hours. I was able to walk/function properly. The only give away that I was high were my eyes.

Serving: 1 for the eating and a friend joined for the smokeing Weight/tolerance: 170lbs smoke once a day Quality: um id say high mid crstaly ground up nice Fat/Alcohol used: olive oil/butter Method: browned in frying pan and then threw in 2 eggs made a snadwich Results: was starting to get really high then smoked a joint was fucked up for id say 4 hours went to bed at 1ish in the after noon got up at 3 was still baked i dident really burn out till about 8 30 so that was like 12 hours i sugest you try this |

Serving-3 Leary Biscuits www.leary.com/news/health/BiscuitRecipe.html Weight-120lbs, VERY light smoker Quality-Schwag, filled with seeds and stems. Some of the lowest grade herb I've ever had, the high had a lazy dream like quality to it. Fat used-Melted over cheese and put on crackers. Tasted really bad, washed down with a coke and a slice of pizza. Method-made in the microwave like the recipe says. Results-I got really high, the highest I'd ever been. I forgot I had taken anything and started to freak out. I lied down on my bed trying to sleep and I couldn't because it felt like my body was spinning around in the air. I got horrible stomach cramps, tried to puke but just got the dry heaves. I got so high I couldn't move during the "peak". It was like tripping but I didn't see any visuals. Music sounded messed up and I heard/thought about weird demon noises but they didn't tell me anything. I was so stoned I forgot how to use a phone and I was on the verge of passing out several times. After 4 hours I came down and I went to bed. |

Cookies with 1/8th
Hey! My account finally activated. Now I can share the recipe I been jonesing to get out. So I've read a lot of threads using a lot more pot than I thought was necessary to get high, so I did a little experiment in my college living place. It's a student run house of about 50 people, and we had a little party. I volunteered to make some pot cookies. Here's what I did, what I used, and how it worked (which was, excellent).
Stage 1: Making the butter. I started this the night before I wanted to cook. First I took a medium soup pot (the kind you might use to cook like noodles for four), and filled it 3/4 of the way. I brought it to a boil, then added one stick of butter. Be careful here, as the mixture will foam up, and you want to keep the water/butter in the pot. So turn the heat down and watch it. When the water/butter mix settles down a bit, you're ready to add the weed. I used 1/8th of middle quality bud (it was $35, while primo weed here is around $50); some crystals, no hair, a little piney scent, about what you expect form mids. My advanced preperation method was to simply drop this shit in the boiling water. I didn't chop it or anything like that, but you can if you want. I then turned the heat up a little and rapidly boiled it for like ten minutes (that's when the surface of the water is all crazy bubbly), then turned it down to a simmer, COVERED IT, and let it simmer for four hours. I think covering is probably important, as you make sure the system is closed/nothing much is vaporizing into the air. I checked the mixture every half hour to an hour to make sure it had enough water. After the four hours was up, I used a fork to remove the buds and put them in a smaller dish, and tried to strain out whatever butter/water mixture I could by mashing them. I put the reclaimed liquid back with the rest of the water/butter, put the cover back on, stuck it in the fridge, and went to bed. As for the spent buds, I tossed them, though one could try and dry them/smoke them. I doubt there's much left though. Over night the clarified butter rose to the top and solidified. I used a knife and slotted spoon to get all the little pieces, and put the greenish butter into a smaller container. This is the cannabutter. Stage 2: the cooking The recipe: 2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour 1 tsp baking soda 1 tsp salt 1 1/4 stick regular butter All the pot butter 3/4 cup granulated sugar 3/4 cup packed (smashed down) brown sugar 1 tsp vanilla extract 2 eggs 2 cups chocolate chips Baking: Preheat oven to 375 mix flour, baking soda, and salt in a little bowl. Melt the regular butter a little in the microwave, and then mix all the butter with both sugars and the vanilla in a large bowl. Make sure to mash them all together real well (it'll seem like you don't have enough butter at first, but you do). Next add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each one. Finally, gradually add in the flour mixture, and stir until it's all moist looking. Stir in the chocolate chips last. Put tablespoon size lumps on a cookie sheet, making sure to leave space in between. I got about 60 such cookies out of the recipe. Put them in the oven for about ten minutes (until they look a little golden), then take them out. You may want to try making the cookies once without pot to be sure you've got it all down, wouldn't want to waste precious buds. Anyway, now you're ready for stage 3. Stage 3: Profit If you've followed my directions, you now have 60 delicious cookies with no plant matter in them, and with only the slightest hint of a marijuana taste. Do not be deceived, these are powerful fucks. Results: 1) To test potency, I gave two cookies to a 6'2, 160 pound daily smoker. He reported they kicked in after about an hour, and made him very pleasantly high for a couple hours. 2) I myself (5'8, 130 lbs) ate two cookies at the party, though later smoked a bunch as well. I got really, really stoned, and ended up walking down to campus and staring at our belltower for half an hour. 3) My girlfriend (5'0, 100 lbs) (who has previously tried but not managed to get stoned) also took two cookies, and also smoked. She was high off her ass, and a little panicky, though was fine because we were in a comfortable situation. She sat with me for staring at the belltower. 4) Another girl in my house (5'4, maybe 120) also ate two cookies and smoked, and also reported getting uncomfortably stoned (too much). 5) A few days later I redosed with just two cookies. They took around an hour to kick in, and I was quite high for maybe four hours. 6) My girlfriend also redosed with me, and was also quite high for an additional four hours. A number of other people in my house also had cookies, but were mixing with so many other substances they were way out of it, and thus are not good proofs of potency. However, it is fair to say the cookies paid a role. Conclusions: |

Pardon my double post, I hit enter and it posted.
Conclusions: The cannibutter, as prepared by me, was fully potent, and doing some simple math it appears about 1 tsp is the amount necessary to get moderately stoned. It stand to reason you could use this butter in anything you put butter on (toast included), but I know the cookies work. Unless you're a serious hardhead I recommend taking no more than two cookies, and even then you might work your way up. Remember to wait at least an hour before taking any more, an hour and a half if you took them on a full stomach. This method appears to be more economical than many of the other threads posted (with 3.5 grams of weed making roughly 30 viable doses), and seemed to work quite consistantly. One final subject took just one cookie, and did not notice significant effects. Again, two seems to be the right number. i get good results with .5-.75 g per person (high quality buds)
my best methods to date are cupcakes and cookies make normal cupcakes, divide .5-.75 g between 2 of them, just remember which ones they are fuckin stonerscookies, make some mix or get the shit in the tube like the good lord intended, mix .5-.75 g into 1 or 2 cookies, bake them. have fun in space
