Thanks,...I have an extra to use tomorrow...I filling out paperwork and then a physical so it could take 2-3hrs...that is why it is so hard to judge. When I had the heater on 2hrs it registered over 108Degrees! It even says on the packet the warmer is from 100-107 so this should not have been such a surprise to me. This position is in a hospital, so I don't know how different it will be than a drug clinic. I wish it was a drug clinic, as it would be easier to gage. We'll see what happens. Thanks

also, the test I did today was to put the heater on for 1hr between double underwear. Then I took the heater off , put it back between double underwear, and checked every hour...so from the time I have had it off the heater it has been 2hrs and it registered 95.5...Still good. I think I am screwed though if they make me strip/put on a gown for the physical, then there is no where to hide the damn thing...Oh well, if it is meant to be, it shall be! Take Care!

Testclear heating issues

Hi all-
Been reading the post re: temperature and Testclear powdered urine. I odered the kit, BUT realize now it only comes with one heater that is not reusable. Was planning on testing at home first (with water) to make sure temp was in correct range and to guage how much time I had. I am a female and planned on crotching it but now I'm really conmcerned that I may go in without testing temp issues ahead of time. Any recommendations? Can I order additional heaters (alone) from testclear/ Didn't see that option on website and alreadyb paid for next day shipment to receive tomorrow. Test is Wednesday. I'm kinda freaking out about this. Is it better to be too hot and then try to cool vs not hot enough?? Need advise asap! Thanks in advance.

heater bypass

I know someone that has had to use the powdered urine test kit many times. The way he does it is to not use the heater at all. He just runs hot water out of the focet feeling the water with his finger until it feels right. Then he uses a thermometer to further adjust the water to its optimal range. Once he has the water at the right temp, he mixes the powdered urine and water in the vial. Be careful about putting the water over the urine as I have heard of the force of water blowing out all of the powder before. After mixing, he puts the vial in his but crack and tapes his crack shut. He says that it's uncomfortable but easy and undetectable. Body heat will keep the mixture the correct temperature. Believe me, he has been on probation for a couple of years and, because of the job that he has, he gets a random drug test often so he should know. Today will be my first time using this product and I'm going to do it the way he suggests.

Something else to add.
I'm also drinking plenty of water to dilute my urine, just in case. You never know what might happen and they might make you give them another sample. If that happens then they will be getting diluted urine and it should come back as inconclusive. If that should happen then it might buy me another week to go back and do it right. I know someone that this happened to because the dummy flushed the toilet by accident. Never flush the toilet and never use the water in the restroom!!

I've heard that you can buy the heaters at wal mart. I think they are in the camping section. Just tell one of the clerks that you are looking for toe warmers that you put in your shoes. They should be able to point you in the right direction. Read my reply though. You might not need the heater anyway.

Heaters are camp heaters for hands/feet, make sure you keep the temp strip as far away from the heat source as possible. abcd said much earlier that he crotched the bottle but used two pair of skivvies and kept it on the outer one, this is wrong, keep it as close to your body as you can since it's body temp you want. Also remember that heat and liquid work together well, get it near the temp you want and then take it off the heat, the residual energy will get it to the proper temp.

test...

Went off without a hitch yesterday. Heated before, then actually removed the heat pad and crotched it in the crotch liner of my undies. ladies, this works well because there's no chance for slippage/shifting...check your underwear...in the crotch part like, many undies have a seem at one end and the front is sewn shut- granted I've always wondered what that little "pocket" was for...nonetheless, great place to stick vial which is kind of large. Wore loose fitting dress slacks, vial (in undies) was snug against crotch & kept temperature in correct range. HOWEVER, I only had to wait like 15-20 minutes. Don't know how long just your crotch can maintain proper body temp range. Oh and keep your legs crossed if possible, helps aid in the heat factor. Waiting for official results, but so long as product delivers as promised, should be good.

whoops, I meant the back seam of crotch area on undies is sewn shut, FRONT is often left open. So yes, a nice little crotch pocket if I do say so.
