when do you drug test results come in?

I took a urine test at quest diagnostics, are the results 24 hrs.?

What is the test for?

If its a pre employment test, the results are as follows.

Pass: You got the job.

Fail: You never hear from them again.

If its court ordered for probation or some shit like that, you'll know if you failed by how much time you spend in the pokey.

They usually don't get the results to you, more the people who ordered the test, they're the ones who want to know what you already know.

It's for pre-employment, yeah I understand they get the results but, I'm just wondering when I should expect to hear from them if I got the job. In my case it's actually if I don't hear from them then that means I have the job since I already signed all the paperwork and they told me what day/time to go in for my first day, who to meet, etc.. if I fail my test then I guess they'll call me and tell me not to go in on Monday.

Can I call the lab and get the results? Or would that be suspicious or anything?

Actually, if you fail they will call you. If you pass, human resources will call you giving a start date.

Not necessarily, I have had a "start date" but my urine came up too diluted. They didn't pass on me but I did have to do another test.
I tested w/ Quest and the employer got back to me w/ results within 24 hours.
