valium in urine lab test

Now, I'm on probation for my mj possession, and i haven't been smoking the stuff in a long time. I get tested randomely, and i just took a test this last thursday that I couldnt prep for and I'm wondering what my odds are. Please dont bullshit me, if i fail i have to serve 3 months.

Anyway, the friday before the thursday test i took one 10mg valium. I eat about 3000 calories a day and regularly lift weights and was decently hydrated when i took the test. My urine wasnt clear, but very close to it, and i take a mega dose vitamin which adds color to the urine.

I was wondering if anyone has any experience with valium and drug tests. I only have experience with herb and tests, and i usually pass a bit before I technically should. Please help me, whether i go to jail or not, i just want some guidance as to what i should expect because it will be weeks before results are in. everything says 1 to 6 weeks for valium, and i took a low dose one time and it was 6.5 days. Any comments are appreciated god bless you stoners.

I'd say you're in the clear. Prescription drugs are in your system for up to 3 days so initially you're all good. Keep us updated and steer clear of drugs while you're on probation. A joint or pill simply isn't worth 3 months in jail.

yea ive looked up actual lab reports as i took some clonazepam a week before i was told i might have to take drug tests and they all said from a signal dose there was detection up at 28 days for some people.

cant find anything specific on valium but all indications seem to be at least a week and up to 4 weeks.

one thing you have to keep in mind is that valium has a nortoiously long half life...everywhere i look (depending on age and metabolic differences) says that valiums half life can be as high as 100 hours...this means that if you took a single 10mg valium on friday, you will have 5 mg in your system 100 hours later (so that would be tuesday), and you would still have 2.5mg in your system again 100 hours later so that would be satuday the next week...this is being overly conservative but when it comes to drug tests its better safe than sorry...

clonazepam (aka rivotril aka klonopin) also has a long half life but not quite as long as valium aka diazepam...i think 30+ hour half life

Yeah but I don't believe diazepam is even tested for in the common drug screen used by employers. Probation officers must be different as it is the justice system, but I think diazepam is only tested for if they're particularly looking for it such as in an extended test. And it looks as though the detection period is around 7-10 days with valium. Good luck and keep us updated man.

What are you basing this on, that all prescription drugs fall neatly into the one class of drugs?

i dont know, it would be screwed up if they started drug testing for prescription drugs. they hand out prescriptions like candy on halloween, it would quite hypocritical for them to then drug test for them
