downloaded at like 700 kb/s for me.

it encompasses basically everything you could ever need to know about the war on drugs. from how the cia facilitated the importation of cocaine for crack, to how we spend 20 billion dollars a year on the war on drugs and drugs are cheaper and more prevalent then ever, the privitization of the prison system so keeping people in jail is profitable, how the heads of our governments drug policies are complete douschebag liars.

i highly recommend it. its 1.46 gigs, but as i said it downloaded very fast, is good quality and definetly worth a watch.

knowledge is power my brothers.
Thanks for posting!

Really good so far, and I'm only a couple minutes in.

just because you (or people you know) pay like 60 dollars for an eighth of marijuana that doesnt mean the average price of illicit drugs hasnt decreased over time. any experience a single person has had with drugs is by no means a representation of trends in the mean drug price over time. thats like saying global warming doesnt exist because its a cold day outside. there are people who pay anywhere from nothing to 600 dollars an oz of marijuana in the united states. however there is an average price, the drug market has been studied by organizations such as the dea for years.

however id think the statement mainly pertains to hard drugs, like cocaine and heroin because they have the most stable open market prices, and unlike marijuana most hard drugs get imported from other countries so price is mainly dictated by availability. it is a fact that the purity, availability have increased and thus price has decreased over the past 20 years. you can do a brief google search and learn that for yourself in like 5 minutes.

marijuana differs from the hard drugs in that a) marijuana can come in very high grade types which are expensive because they are expertly grown b) like any other drug, on the lowest level people usually end up getting ripped off, and with many drug naive people smoking marijuana, many of them get ripped off. there really isnt a open air market for marijuana, its usually just dealers who personally know people whom they sell to, because marijuana is a much more casual drug. plus the fact that anyone can grow marijuana. with heroin and cocaine, you have dealers that are like business men. they slash prices and market their drugs just like any other business. they use stamps to identify their product, they set up locations convienent for the customer, etc. it is because there is so much competition between heroin dealers that the prices go so low, to attract customers, because if someone is known for having good dope all the junkies go to them and they have a monopoly on all the junkies in an area. basically im just saying how hard drugs have a much more leveled out open air drug market where average price is more stable.

also, the drug price used in these reports are for open air drug markets, not the price some bratty teenage dealers sell drugs at. drug price depends on the region, availability, and how many middle men are ripping you off inbetween you and the source. in highschools of course you are going to get ripped off no matter what, but go to the streets of the ghetto where the real dealers are, and you will find drugs at their real value.

ok, well, unless you can try to convince me otherwise with information that contradicts all available sources of legitimate information, i hope you can understand that drug prices have decreased over time.

anyway im basically just commenting on one of things that is shown in the movie. i always knew the cia was fucked but i never really knew the details. and its just really fucked up how corrupt and warped our country is.

/edit: BUT REMEMBER KIDS, REAGAN SAYS TO JUST SAY NO TO DRUGS! CRACK IS WACK! (that is unless its profits are supporting brutal violence and war in foreign countries while simultaneously oppressing the undesirable black population).

the tent city sheriff from this movie always cracks me up. it's so sad, but you have to admit that he's a funny guy other than being extremely ignorant.

he wrote a good book about how cheney was behind 9/11, if you are interested.
