link to really good drug war documentary
American Drug War: the last White hope - Pre-Release Cut - Xvid/ (download torrent) - TPB
downloaded at like 700 kb/s for me. it encompasses basically everything you could ever need to know about the war on drugs. from how the cia facilitated the importation of cocaine for crack, to how we spend 20 billion dollars a year on the war on drugs and drugs are cheaper and more prevalent then ever, the privitization of the prison system so keeping people in jail is profitable, how the heads of our governments drug policies are complete douschebag liars. i highly recommend it. its 1.46 gigs, but as i said it downloaded very fast, is good quality and definetly worth a watch. knowledge is power my brothers.

its so fucking pathetic how reagan was so anti-drug, yet under him the CIA and our government basically gave deals with any pro-american government that if they fought off the communist they could sell drugs in america.
then they used to the blacks as a scapegoat, instead of going after the south american dictators and the cia agents who were involved they took down rickie ross, who was the biggest black dealer on teh west coast of crack. his source was a dude who was working with the contra coupe in some south american country, he basically came to america, facilitated by the cia and given free range to sell cocaine in america, and he sent back money to his country so his coupe would fight the communist government. anyway im basically just commenting on one of things that is shown in the movie. i always knew the cia was fucked but i never really knew the details. and its just really fucked up how corrupt and warped our country is. /edit: BUT REMEMBER KIDS, REAGAN SAYS TO JUST SAY NO TO DRUGS! CRACK IS WACK! (that is unless its profits are supporting brutal violence and war in foreign countries while simultaneously oppressing the undesirable black population).

I am very tempted to download this, but the only thing stopping me is the fact I can get shit from the university for "sharing" copyrighted files, and they do make you pay a good amount (85 flipping dollars to be specific, they caught me once downloading fear and loathing *sigh*)
Anyways, is this shit copyrighted?

Yes, I would naturally assume it to be copyrighted material.
I think this has been on Shotime a lot lately; if so, it's very good.

"Drugs are cheaper than ever". Really? Damn, paying $60 for an eighth of pot doesn't sound cheap to me.

mainly the price of drugs like heroin and cocaine has been drastically reduced over the past 20 years with potency increasing drastically. marijuana is everywhere and pervasive in our society yet our government continues to waste billion of tax dollars improsening and prosecuting peopel for marijuana, 80 percent of the population believes marijuana is not harmful, yet 1 million people are in jail annually on non-violent drug charges. every year teh budget for the dea goes up by a billion dollars yet they are obviously losing the "war on drugs". meanwhile countries like amsterdam have decrimilization and toleration of all drugs and the amount of hard drug users has shown no increase over x amount of years. yet the heads of the DEA are such fucking power hungry dousche bags they will refuse to acknowledge any scientific studies that lead towards a smarter drug policy because THEY ARE GETTING RICH OFF PUTTING DRUG USERS IN JAIL.

^I don't actually pay that much, but I used to, and I know plenty who do pay $60 an eighth. I just can't believe that since the 1970s, drug prices have gone down.

another thing i find so twisted about american drug policy is that we have these strict laws about drugs and we spend so much time and money getting rid of them and the dea claims to be winning the war on drugs yet as a % of population we have twice the marijuana smokers as the netherlands. yet when any government official is presented with the facts and how the netherlands policies work so well, they claim that the netherlands is a twisted drug addicted society and it would never work in america. Yet they have less drug users? the people in our government are so wealthy and removed from reality that they just deny any scientific evidence and common sense and go with their "faith in god" and their shitty policies.
